Making Changes to Price Lists

Making Changes to Price Lists

To make changes to price lists in MediBooks multiple pages may need to be used. This article will explain how price lists in MediBooks work and when to use each page.

Overview of Price Lists MediBooks

Each Third Party in MediBooks can have its own price list with different services and configurable charges. To give users more control and limit the amount of repetition in setting up price lists (known as Schemes in MediBooks), they are created individually and then each price list is applied to the chosen third parties. The assigned price list will then be used as the pick list when creating invoices.

To make each price list easier to navigate, they are split into tabs (known as Departments in MediBooks) and within each tab, the bill items are placed into groups (known as Sections).

Below are pictures showing two different picklists, which are pricelists that can be customised to hide items only the current user. Both pictures have been annotated to show the third party that has been selected and it's price list.

The Different Pages in MediBooks

Every item that can be billed against is created in the Global Catalogue and is where properties such as its description, department (tab), Income code and whether or not it's active are set.  For information on using this page please read: Global Catalogue

Inside the Global Catalogue, Departments, Sections and Income Codes can be set. These use options that have been preconfigured on pages found under the Configuration section of the Price List. Instructions on using these pages can be found here: Price List Configuration

Each Item from the Global Catalogue can then be assigned to a scheme and given a price, this is done from the Catalogue Pricing page. Claim codes and whether or not booking fees can be applied are set here. To learn how to use this page please read: Catalogue Pricing

Price lists (known as Schemes in MediBooks) can be created or modified from the Schemes page. Applying schemes to Third Parties is how MediBooks determines which pricelist to use for each third party. For more information on using this page please read: Schemes
Third Parties can be assigned to Schemes using the Price List field of the Billing Information page, instructions on editing these settings can be found here: Modifying Existing Third Parties
