A Debit Note can be used to reverse a payment on an account. Select the required Customer, Business or Third Party, then click [Debit Note].

This will open the Debit Note Screen:
Double Click on the Item which needs to be Debited.
This will add the item to the debit note, where you can add a [Reason] as shown:

You can add further details to the Debit Note by completing the details in the Administration Fields:
When you have finished, click [Post to Account] to post the Debit Note to the Customer Account.
Clicking on [Print Debit Note] will post the Debit to the account, and open the Debit Note in the Document Viewer.
