Using WindowsLogon

Using WindowsLogon

Using WindowsLogon with MediBooks will enable MediBooks to automatically log in when a specified Windows account is being used. In order to use WindowsLogon it will need to be set as the authentication method on any computers that will be used. To find out how to do this please read our MediBooks Authentication Methods article. In addition, the person setting up the account must have access to the User Management page under the System tab.

Setting a user account up for use with WindowsLogon

The first step to setting up an account for use with WindowsLogon is to find out the Windows Login Credentials of the account that needs to be enabled, an example of this is: "Jersey\Joe.Bloggs". This can be done by setting WindowsLogon as the authentication method and opening the login screen for MediBooks using the Windows account you want to use. Then from the username field write down the text shown, being careful to include which letters are capitalized.

Change the authentication method back and log in to MediBooks. Navigate to the "User Management" page, this can be found under the "System" tab. Double-click on the row containing the desired account.

Fill in the relevant information into the WindowsLogon box, remembering any content entered is case-sensitive and must match the Windows account details exactly for MediBooks to recognize it. Click [Save] when completed as desired.

Use the [Save] button on the ribbon bar once any desired changes have been made.
