Process for setting up customers in bulk

By using the grid filters the Customer Details report can be used to locate and enable online payment services for customers that are most likely to benefit from this service This tutorial will go through the process of enabling online bill payment for accounts with an email or mobile number. However, the process can modified as required to suit your practices needs.

After running the report, first open the email column filters. This can be done by clicking on the filter box and then selecting the filter button [I*] which will open the dropdown shown in the screenshot below.

Next click on {Not Empty}.

Select the Default Email filter and type "Main".

Next, select the Delivery Method filter and type "Post".

Did you know:  You can filter any of the columns such as the Date Of Birth or Use Billing Address column the same way?

For example, typing 01/01/2000 with "greater than" will show anyone born after this date. While using "less than" will show anyone who was born before 01/01/2000.



After setting the filters as desired select all the customers, to do this click on the customer at the top of the grid and drag the scroll bar to the bottom of the page. Press shift and click on the last customer.

Right-click on the grid and select Update Delivery Method.

From the dialog that opens select Email as the delivery method. Then click OK.

A confirmation message will be shown, press Yes to submit the changes.

Next for the Email and Default Email filters, Click on the filter and select Clear.


Open the mobile column filter list, by clicking on the filter box and then selecting the filter button [I*] and click on {Not Empty}.


Select the Default Mobile filter and type "Main".


Then select all the customers, to do this click on the customer at the top of the grid and drag the scroll bar to the bottom of the page. Press shift and click on the last customer.

Right-click on the grid and select Update Delivery Method.

From the dialog select SMS as the delivery method. Then click OK.


Press Yes to submit the changes.
