The Task Scheduling page in MediBooks can be used for actions relating to tasks which are used to bulk-create statements or apply charges or booking fees to customer accounts. To learn how to create a task please read: Creating Tasks.
To find the Task Scheduling page, open MediBooks and select the Administration tab, then select [Task Scheduling].
Viewing and Editing Tasks
Each task is shown as a row in the grid. They are grouped by Type, i.e. Government, Third Party or Customer. One of the ways to edit tasks is by double-clicking on the required fields.
- The Default column is used to show the Billing task that will be used for newly created accounts of that type.
- The Exclusion column is used to define the number of previous days to exclude from the task.
- For example, if a customer has an unpaid debt that is 5 days old and the exclusion column is set to 10 days the debt will not be counted when the task is run.
- The Active column is used to show whether or not a task is in use. The dropdown on the top right side of the screen (location shown in the image below) can be used to show tasks based on whether or not they have been marked as Active, this can be used if there are lots of inactive tasks and you want to reduce the number of tasks shown.
Another way to edit tasks is by right-clicking on a task and selecting [Edit Task]. From here you can edit the details associated with the task. Some of the categories (i.e. Charges) may have a second tab of details that can be accessed from the top of the dialog. The location of this is shown in the image below.
Once you have made your changes, click [Save].
