Invalid GP Code for Consultant. (Prescribing Code Cannot Be Empty)

When running claims a claim may sometimes fail with the message "Invalid GP Code for a consultant. (Prescribing Code Cannot be Empty)", in this article, it will be described how to resolve this error.

To rectify this error, left-click on the hyperlink shown in the BillId column and look for the name of the Consultant used for the failed item on the invoice.

Once you know the name, go to System, User Management and double-click on the user account of the consultant, a popup window called System User will appear.

Click the claims tab and fill in the Prescribing / Performer field with the relevant practitioner details you should have on file. Click [Save] to close the window, then press save again using the button on the dark grey bar.

When you download the claims again the failed claim should disappear.
